Decal Acquisition & Management

Upon application approval and registration payment, modular manufacturers will submit an order for their State of Utah Modular Building Program decals using this link.

There is no cost for the decals. However, a manufacturer’s initial decal order does require a one-time deposit of $250. Upon payment, an initial distribution of up to 50 structure decals will be shipped to the manufacturer. The payment portal can be accessed here.

Agencies who successfully manage their decals can order up to a maximum of 250 structure (silver) and 500 panel (red) decals per order following the initial distribution at no cost.

Successful decal management includes showing consistent use and timely registration of decals with DFCM, and the ability to account for decals which are not yet registered with DFCM. Agencies should not expect to have additional decals issued if more than half of what has been issued has not been registered with DFCM.

Decal Types

The DFCM Modular Building Program offers two types of decals.

Structure Decals (Silver):

These decals are used for installation on complete commercial and factory built housing units. The decal number you will register with DFCM for the complete unit will be located in the top right-hand corner.

Panel Decals (Red):

These decals are used for installation on individual pieces of a complete panelized unit, when applicable. A “structure” (silver) decal is also required for the complete unit. The decal number you will register with DFCM for each panel of the complete unit will be located in the "INSIGNIA NO." box.
