Please join me in congratulating Matt Boyer on being named as our Deputy Director!
Matt brings a wealth of knowledge to DFCM through his several years of construction experience in both the public and private sectors. Starting his career with a roofing company in 1995, Matt honed his skills in estimating and project management, where he remained until joining DFCM in 2007.
Matt’s first role with the division was serving as the Roofing Program Manager which required Matt to travel statewide managing a diverse portfolio of projects. Clearly demonstrating his dedication to quality and commitment to value, Matt was selected to lead the DFCM capital development program in 2017. During the eight years Matt served as the Assistant Director of Capital Development, he successfully managed billions of dollars in public funds to deliver high quality projects to State of Utah.
Throughout Matt’s tenure with DFCM, he has built many trust based relationships with critical stakeholders in the construction industry and with all state agencies, institutions of higher education and members of the legislature. Importantly, Matt has also gained the respect and trust of his colleagues across Utah to represent DFCM with integrity, transparency and accountability.
As such, Matt is well prepared to lead DFCM to new heights now and in the future as he embraces our mission to expand DFCM’s reputation as a leader and trusted expert in construction, real estate and facility operations.
I am excited for the future and the opportunity to work with all of you! We have an extraordinary team here at DFCM and I am continually impressed with the dedication, expertise and passion that I see everyday. I truly and genuinely thank you for all that you do for DFCM and the State of Utah!
