About Facilities Management
The Facilities Management section within DFCM provides comprehensive building maintenance and management services. This section provides complete operation, maintenance and management services to state agencies as requested. This service consists of several different sections within the organization, each with their own specialty, all working together to meet the needs of both the tenant agencies and the state building asset. These sections consist of:
Management and Maintenance Personnel: Directs building management efforts and provides direct maintenance to the buildings and associated equipment.
Central Support Services: Provides internal contracting and accounting support
Energy Management and Electronics Resource: Provides energy conservation measures and support for all automated building systems.
Facilities Management also operates as an Internal Service Fund. This means the operation is funded entirely from the revenues it collects under operating and maintenance agreements with other state agencies. Operation and maintenance agreements are renewed with customer agencies annually. Facilities Management currently manages over 5.4 million square feet of space throughout the state. All types of facilities are managed within this group ranging from office space, court facilities, historic buildings, to retail and warehouse space.
