 The Construction Management section of DFCM is responsible for constructing state facilities. After buildings are approved and funded by the State Legislature, the Construction Management team is responsible for:
- Architectural Programming
- Selecting a private sector architect or engineer
- Awarding construction bids
- Conducting value engineering
- Overseeing the design and construction of the building
- Testing & Inspections
- Establishing substantial completion date
- Punch list preparation and follow up to completion
- Operations & Maintenance training of agency staff
- Monitoring warranty period
After substantial completion, buildings are turned over to the appropriate state agency for occupancy.
